Roland Professional A/V has announced a major firmware updates for its flagship V-600UHD and V-160HD video switchers.
Version 3.0 for the V-600UHD 4K HDR Multi-Format Video Switcher expands capabilities among input and output frame rates. It also features user button enhancements, including support for a PGM/AUX select function for the main output.
Further new features for the V-160HD Streaming Video Switcher support greater flexibility within video production set-ups. These include AUX bus extensions plus video monitoring and switching on the V-160HD Remote app for iPad. Loudness Auto Gain and Adaptive Noise Reduction PTZ control functions are now assignable via a USB numeric keypad. In addition, Japanese and Chinese language support has been added to the V-160HD Remote app and V-160HD RCS (control software for Windows and macOS).
Major firmware updates for the VR-120HD and VR-6HD are planned for release in 2024. The flagship VR-120HD Direct Streaming AV Mixer features direct streaming over LAN, onboard SDXC card recording and playback, and an impressive 42-channel audio mixer. The VR-6HD Direct Streaming AV Mixer is a compact, all-in-one hub with business livestreaming in mind.
