PreSonus Atom SQ is a Midi keyboard/pad controller for contemporary music production and performance, featuring a staggered 32-pad layout that is designed to be familiar to keyboard players and drum programmers.

PreSonus Atom SQAtom SQ’s pressure-sensitive pads feature poly aftertouch, enabling expressive performances, and their RGB LEDs allow intuitive, customisable colour-coordination of samples and loops.

A built-in arpeggiator and user-configurable touch strip provide more expressive control. Advanced features enable the keyboard scaleto be changed and the eight assignable rotary encoders to be mapped to control almost any parameter. An LCD screen displays context-sensitive information and uses a dynamic button system that changes function depending on the task at hand.

Deep integration with the Studio One’s Pattern Editor lets Atom SQ function as a TR-style 16-step sequencer, in addition to playing virtual instruments. Navigation of much of Studio One is possible without a mouse and keyboard using transport controls, a dedicated Click toggle, timeline zoom in/out, and track navigation.

Atom SQ can be used to launch clips and scenes in Ableton Live during a performance, select devices and edit parameters, navigate tracks and scenes, and control each track’s volume, panning, and send levels.

Bus-powered, compact and easily portable, Atom SQ is available now at an anticipated street price of US$249.95.
