Roland has added Bridge Cast X to its family of online gaming and livestreaming products.
Bridge Cast X is a desktop interface and connection hub that allows streamers to simplify their set-ups and improve their content using Roland’s pro A/V features. Multiple USB-C, HDMI and audio ports provide simultaneous connectivity for computers, gaming consoles and other devices, eliminating the need to repatch for different streaming scenarios. Bridge Cast X also includes an XLR mic input, assignable control pads, and support for thousands of royalty-free backing music titles via the BGM Cast service on Roland Cloud.
Bridge Cast X has two USB-C ports, two HDMI inputs and an HDMI Thru to feed an external gaming monitor. This connectivity supports various applications, allowing users to combine computers, gaming consoles and high-quality cameras to suit their workflow. Six assignable control pads are provided allow quick triggering of sound effects, background music, OBS commands, and other content.
The unit includes all audio connectivity and mixing features of the Bridge Cast Dual Bus Gaming Mixer, a sister product with a sound-focused toolset. Users can connect a broadcast-quality XLR mic and headphones and create independent sound mixes for personal monitoring and online streaming. The personal mix can prioritize game audio and voice chat, while the stream mix can be optimised for maximum viewer engagement. Control is easy and efficient with dedicated level knobs and assignable buttons for muting sounds and accessing various functions.
The companion Bridge Cast app unlocks deeper features, including mic and audio processing, voice transformer settings and Game EQ presets. It’s also possible to re-assign hardware controls and save/recall configurations for different games and streaming audiences.
BGM Cast extends the A/V tools in offered by Bridge Cast X with direct access to a high-quality music library. Everything is managed within the Bridge Cast app, eliminating the need for third-party music services and complicated computer software set-ups. All tracks in BGM Cast are royalty-free, giving streamers unlimited use without fear of copyright strikes on their channels.
