Among professional audio’s first loudspeaker manufacturers to invest in the enhanced software, WorxAudio Technologies is offering the software to assist users with configuration and modeling of line array systems, and of adjustable loudspeakers such as digitally steered columns.
Version 2 software features 3D modeling of direct sound – displayed in horizontal and vertical cutting planes with full balloon modeling, which is significantly more accurate than in the previous version. Version 2 also provides support for Ease GLL files and data exchange with Ease and other AFMG software packages. Additional capabilities include the ability to incorporate multiple line array systems into a single project, display time and frequency response plots, and its simulation mode provides a virtual equaliser for tuning a line array.
Having served as a beta tester for Focus v2, WorxAudio CEO and Director of Engineering, Hugh Sarvis, says: ‘With over 2,400 polar curves, there is a tremendous amount of line array fine tuning that can achieved with this new software, and this enables our customers to maximize the effectiveness of their loudspeaker systems more expediently and easier than before. I’m convinced that the accuracy of the data the new software produces will be of tremendous benefit to our customers.”
