DAS Audio has added two subwoofers to its Rf (reference) series for use in permanent installations and mobile systems.
The RF-118 and RF-218 join the companys’. Both are passive systems housed in Birch Plywood enclosures with black Iso-Flex painted exteriors.
The RF-118 subwoofer incorporates a single 18-inch LF transducer in a rear-loaded horn bass configuration. The system has a 4kW Peak/1kW RMS power rating with a nominal impedance of 8Ω. The RF-118 has a frequency range of 45Hz to 160Hz. On-axis sensitivity is rated at 99dB SPL (1W/1m) while maximum peak SPL measures 135dB (at 1m). The enclosure’s measurements are 33-in x 23.6-in x 25.8-in (840mm x 600mm x 655mm) and its weight is 126.5lbs. (57.5kg).
The RF-218 subwoofer incorporates two 18-inch LF transducers in a bass reflex configuration. The system has an 8kW Peak/2kW RMS power rating with a nominal impedance of 4Ω. On-axis sensitivity is rated at 101dB SPL (1W/1m) while maximum peak SPL measures 140dB (at 1m). The enclosure’s measurements are 42-in x 21.3-in x 26.4-in (1,067mm x 540mm x 670mm) and its weight is 141.9lbs. (64.5kg).
