Its high off-axis rejection allows a broadcast studio to be set up in a wide variety of about spaces, keeping unwanted reverberance, electrical hum and the random transient sounds – such as car driving by – out of its pick-up pattern leaving only thel sound of the voice.

A ruggedly built, dynamic end-address mic with a cardioid polar pattern, the PD-70 claims exceptional clarity throughout its 50Hz to 20kHz (±3dB) frequency response. Its integrated windscreen reduces plosives for a smooth, professional broadcast sound. The PD-70 package also includes an integrated hard mount.
