Sennheiser has announced the SL Headmic 1 presenter’s microphone, aimed at live shows and broadcasting, as well as corporate applications including talks and presentations.
Weighing just 7g, the high-quality condenser mic is derived from the capsule used in the company’s omnidirectional MKE 1 broadcasting microphone. The microphone can be optimally adapted to the shape of the head, and the microphone boom can be worn either on the left or right. Its modular design means that all components of the SL Headmic 1 can be easily and conveniently replaced.
The headworn microphone comes with a 3.5 mm jack plug cable that connects it to a bodypack transmitter, for example from Sennheiser’s evolution series. For bodypacks with a 3-pin audio socket, such as the SK 5212-II, an adapter is available as an accessory.
The SL Headmic 1 is now available in black or beige. The set includes a windshield, a frequency response cap (to raise the treble when the windshield is being used) and a soft case that can also accommodate a bodypack transmitter.
