A free news application for Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad has been released by Philippine broadcaster ABS-CBN.
Intended to bring ABS-CBN news content to people around the world, the app provides news and information from several sections of abs-cbnNEWS.com. These include Nation, Business, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Sports, Global Filipino, Editor’s Pick and Breaking News. It also has a ‘settings’ menu which allows users to customise the app according to their preferences.
NHK’s International English channel, NHK World TV, is also available on an app for iPhones. This provides live coverage from NHK including English subtitles for interviews in Japanese.
Both apps are available now, and can be downloaded from iTunes.
