Martin Professional has extended remote control of its lighting systems to Apple's iPhone and iPod touch with a free app called iPhone MaxRemote.

MaxRemote discovers remote lighting devices automatically and allows fixtures, presets and channels to be controlled via the Maxxyz lighting console. Multi-touch areas in the parameter view allow manipulation of DMX values, while a pan/tilt control allows  control of a moving light’s pan and tilt using  the  accelerometer in the iPhone/iPod touch.

Colour values can be controlled using CMY and RGB modes, with support provided for Lee, Rosco and GAM filters. Cue lists can also be controlled using Go, Pause and Release commands.
