The BC1 bus compressor was the first product from the TK Audio brand in 2008, and has remained the company’s most popular unit to date. Marking TK Audio’s tenth anniversary, the BC1 Ltd – a limited anniversary version – has been released with additional features requested by users.

TK Audio BC1 LtdThe BC1 was designed to add glue to mixes in a transparent and musical manner, and owners of the Ltd version will still be able to achieve that. In addition, the new Grab setting offers a more aggressive and apparent compression behaviour. This may be desirable on the drum bus or for a more snappy sounding mix.

The BC1 Ltd also has a THD switch, which adds crunch and overdrive to the signal. In order to not give bass instruments a too apparent impact on the mix, there are now three switchable high-pass filter options for the sidechain signal.

Finally, some new attack time settings have been added, to make the unit useful in a wider range of applications.

Units are already being shipped out to dealers worldwide priced as follows: US$1,489 excluding sales tax; €1,139 excluding sales tax; £969 excluding sales tax; and 1,2495kr including sales tax
