Lexicon has released a Mac OS-X 10.6 Snow Leopard compatible software update for the PCM96 and PCM96 Surround reverb/effects processors. The release updates the networking stack and audio drivers, improving performance and stability, and reducing latency when controlling the processors through the plug-in interface and streaming audio over FireWire.

The PCM96 offers two channels XLR analog and AES/EBU digital I/O while the PCM96 Surround offers six channels of analogue and AES/EBU I/O, as well as Midi, Wordclock, Ethernet and FireWire connectivity. The PCM96 processors are equally suited for studio or live use.

‘Lexicon is committed to providing the highest level of signal processing available to meet the platform needs of the changing studio environment,’ says Rob Urry, President of the Harman Music Group.
