Focusrite has added the ISA Two to its ISA family of mic preamps and audio processors.
The ISA Two is a dual-mono, transformer-based microphone preamplifier that features two of Focusrite’s premium ISA-range mic/line/instrument preamps, each capable of providing +80dB of clean gain. Each channel also has switchable balanced insert points, variable high-pass filter, and variable input impedance.
The ISA (Input Signal Amplifier) microphone preamplifier (featuring Lundahl LL1538 input transformer and bespoke Zobel network filter) is drawn from the Focusrite Forté and Studio consoles of the 1980s and remains at the heart of every ISA Series unit.
ISA Two is intended for making high-quality stereo recordings or adding a pair of studio-grade mic preamps to a system. ISA Two can accept mic, line or instrument inputs, providing a DAW front end.
Each channel has comprehensive gain and trim controls, and switches for engaging phantom power, phase invert, the balanced insert points, and the high-pass filter. A calibration knob on the rear panel enables line-up your analogue level to A-D converters.
