The VB-Audio C10-Limiter from Vincent Burel’s suite of VS3 plug-ins now supports the DXD/DSD workflow. As DXD/DSD gains popularity through the increasing availability of high-quality audio downloads, its support of the SACD format is stimulating the requirement for plug-in remastering tools.

The C10-Limiter is a ten-band compressor/limiter based on original FIR filters that performs signal extraction over ten octaves. It allows management of these bands independently or in groups to apply different processes – gain, phase, stereo micro delay, compression and limiting. Its display shows all levels and phase correlations per band.

The C10’s use of non-resonant and phase-linear filters is designed for high-sample-rate audio processing. Its ten bands offer control of the noise floor (typically located in the last band and to a lesser extent the second last).

The C10-DXD graphic user interface has also been redesigned to improve clarity and visibility of control and knobs.

C10-DXD works only on MassCore (or Native) Systems, while the previous C10-Limiter pack is still available for Mykerinos users.
