Biamp has announced Cambridge Qt X Series sound masking, promising ‘complete direct and indirect field sound masking in one easy to manage system’. Qt X is engineered to incorporate Biamp’s QtPro direct-field and DynasoundPro indirect technologies for office environments that require both system types in a single facility.
Biamp’s Qt X Series helps protect speech privacy, reduce noise distractions and increase acoustic comfort in every type of installation, regardless of the architectural design or ceiling type. Qt X also directly supports paging and background music with no additional components. ‘The Cambridge Qt X Series eliminates this hassle, allowing integrators to mix and match systems as appropriate and unifying the management and programming of all components in a single sound masking platform,’ says Biamp Executive VP of Corporate Development, Joe Andrulis.
Qt X is easily interfaced with a building’s life-safety system out of the box, ensuring proper coordination during emergencies. Additionally, it has built-in support for paging and background music sources. Sources connected to any Qt X controller can be routed to any other networked Qt X controller to be played within zones under its control, making building-wide paging and music distribution flexible and simple.
The Qt X series is available in eight models and supports Dante and AVB media distribution. It is compatible with existing Qt direct-field and DynasoundPro indirect emitters, and integrates with both Biamp’s portfolio of A/V technologies and third-party Dante-based devices.
