‘SDIG is singularly committed to improving HiQnet System Architect on every criteria at every opportunity,’ says SDIG Senior Market Manager, Adam Holladay. ‘We regularly examine the user experience, the performance engine and hardware integration and we religiously seek out new ways to improve each. With v2.3, our base of 30,000 registered HiQnet users will see advances in the look and feel of the software, the speed and efficiency of the software and operational functionality.’
HiQnet System Architect version 2.3 includes an improved Custom Panel Designer, providing easier creation of customised control interfaces to reflect system functionality and usage requirements in system set-up and operation. Performance for meter controls is also improved, giving greater versatility to monitor larger numbers of devices simultaneously.
Also new in v2.3 is a simplified access control configuration interface. This tool makes it easier to set up multiple user rights by providing a more immediate focus on the users, rather than the devices in the system. The redesigned interface will enhance the set-up for when System Architect is used as the day-to-day operator’s audio system control application with the Kiosk Mode feature launched previously in September of this year.
On hardware integration, the SDIG team has been working closely with engineering teams from Crown and Lexicon to advance HiQnet System Architect’s support of their offerings. A case in point is System Architect’s support of momentary preset recall function for Crown amplifiers. ‘When HiQnet was introduced it was truly revolutionary,’ Holladay adds. ‘But today we seek to ensure it’s evolutionary in the sense that considers and incorporates developments in the network world, the software domain, the A/V hardware manufacturing sector– within Harman and increasingly with non-Harman entities – and, of course, the systems integration community. We’re satisfied that HiQnet System Architect v2.3 is comprehensive, cutting-edge and very useful.
Along with v2.3, HiQnet also launched a new look-and-feel website, including additional online training resources.
HiQnet System Architect v2.3 can be downloaded free of charge from the Harman Professional website.
