Group One is expanding its Calrec US sales team with the appointment of Andrew Twenter as National Technical Sales Manager.
‘The Calrec brand is synonymous with high-quality products and first-class service and support based on a 60-year pedigree of expertise, research and development in the science of broadcast audio,’ he says.
‘I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with our customers guiding them through the challenges and opportunities that this technological pro audio evolution delivers so they can fully embrace the benefits of Calrec technology.’
Twenter has more than 15 years’ media production systems engineering experience across a wide range of disciplines. His in-depth technical knowledge will enable Calrec to further develop its sales strategy across the territory supporting broadcasters in the widespread transition to remote and distributed working as the industry continues to embrace IP.
He joins Calrec from Key Code Media where he held the position of Senior Solutions Architect, responsible for the design, integration, commissioning and support of complex media systems for broadcast, live entertainment and post production, as well as full client consultation, training and support. He has also held technical and engineering roles at the University of Texas, One World Theatre and Spiceworks. His varied experience across production systems design and management, networking and media infrastructure, and professional sales, as well as his problem solving know-how, make him a good fit for the post.
‘We’re constantly adapting and learning new ways to support customers as they embark on a new technical era of flexibility and the possibilities afforded,’ says Chris Fichera, VP of US Operations at Calrec. ‘To do this, Group One has invested in the best talent the industry has to offer and is continuously evolving to support the varying operational priorities to meet the demands of every Calrec customer and broadcast facility.’
