Alex Nelson is to take on a new role at The Freedman Group as an advisor and board member for Loud Audio, LLC. The move comes as Nelson retires from his role as Mackie CEO after 18 years.
‘I am excited to transition into this new role, and continue contributing to the success of Mackie and The Freedman Group,’ he says. ‘Moving on from my role as Mackie CEO, I am filled with pride for what we have accomplished and immense optimism for what lies ahead.
‘I look forward to supporting the talented team in this new capacity as we drive the future of The Freedman Group – now a premier audio powerhouse that offers incredible solutions spanning all aspects of audio.
As part of this transition, Mackie will see the appointment of Quint Sabatka as Chief Financial and Operating Officer, and Carolyn Hommer as Senior Vice President of Business Operations.
‘We’re thrilled to see two longstanding and extremely capable Mackie team members stepping into these critical roles, and we have full confidence in what their leadership will bring for the bright future of Mackie,’ Nelson says.
‘Alex’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the audio industry will be invaluable as we navigate new opportunities and challenges and continue to expand into new categories,’ says Freedman Group CEO, Damien Wilson. ‘His strategic insights and leadership acumen will undoubtedly contribute to our mission of driving excellence and growth across the group.’
