Maximilian Blanck and Marie-Kathrin Huber will join the management of Germany’s Sommer Cable. They succeed Friedhelm Sommer, co-founder and long-standing Managing Director, who is taking retirement.

As the children of Rainer Blanck, co-founder and CEO of Sommer Cable, both have had a close relation with the company since childhood. Among other accomplishments, Maximilian developed the SysBoxx configurator.

Since October 2023, he has been supporting Sommer cable’s entrepreneurship, sales and product management, as well as the IT management and was co-responsible for the new website of the company’s online shop. Thanks to his master’s degree in Information Management, he contributes valuable talents and knowledge that will help Sommer meet future challenges, especially in the evolving digital realm

Marie-Kathrin Huber (née Blanck) also joined the company in 2023. Owing to her international studies (MA) and her many years’ experience in the cultural sector, she brings in abundant creativity as well as high organisational skills. These talents form an ideal basis for her activities in management, but also in HR, as well as in marketing and sales, notably in the digital world and social media.

Friedhelm Sommer, who founded the company over 25 years ago together with Rainer Blanck, can look back on a successful company history.
