HHB Communications has expanded its Technical Department with the appointment of Conrad Blackledge as Technical Sales Support Engineer.
In his new role, Blackledge will work closely with both HHB and Scrub, its Soho-based subsidiary specialising in serving the postproduction industry, providing technical support for clients, with a strong focus on Avid Pro Tools, as well as other Apple and PC based DAW’s. He will work from HHB’s West London offices and report to Group Sales Director Steve Angel.
‘We are very glad to have Conrad in our Technical Department. He will play a big part in our renowned support for Avid’s hardware and software products and enhance the services we provide to all of our customers. Blackledge is a young and dynamic engineer who brings a fresh approach to the team,’ Angel says.
Before joining the company, Blackledge worked as a freelance engineer for several years and holds a BA in Music, Technology and Innovation. He joins HHB’s team of highly-experienced and fully-trained engineers with various areas of specialist technical knowledge.
‘As a freelance engineer, I always had a lot of respect for HHB’s technical knowledge and customer support, and I am excited to join a department with such a broad knowledge base,’ Blackledge adds. ‘HHB’s Avid support is already second to none and I hope to add to that service.’
The HHB Technical Department offers services including product configuration and installation, registration of new software and hardware and after-sales support and training. Blackledge will play a part in these essential services, in addition to helping HHB customers with all related support queries for many of its leading brands.
HHB has invested more than £250,000 in analogue and digital test equipment, making its facilities Europe’s largest independent pro audio support centre. This is complemented by a large stock of spare parts, allowing repairs to be made quickly and efficiently.
