Audinate has appointed a Manager of Global Support Services, based at its US headquarters in Portland – Landon Gentry will lead the company’s worldwide support organisation, with particular responsibility for directly supporting US-based manufacturer of Dante-enabled products.
‘Landon’s combination of broad product development experience, deep technical expertise and excellent management skills will be invaluable in further strengthening the support and training that Audinate offers to its customers,’ says Audinate COO, David Myers.
Gentry has more than 15 years experience in embedded system design, and more than ten years’ experience of embedded networking technologies, most recently as Engineering Manager at ClearAccess Inc (acquired by Cisco). He will be working closely with Audinate’s OEM partners and helping them to get their products to market quickly. He also has experience in the complete development lifecycle from product specifications through to launch and in-life support.
Dante provides high-performance digital media networking over both 100Mbps and 1Gigbit Ethernet, and is gaining acceptance among OEMs and A/V designers for tightly synchronised, sample-accurate playback, and simplification of installation and configuration of A/V networks. Based on IP standards, Dante meets the quality and performance requirements of professional live sound, A/V installations and broadcast plus recording systems. Dante has been licensed by more than 65 OEMs customers across the A/V industry.
