Atlona has appointed Jeff Meyer as Director of Business Development for the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions, responsible for sales and shaping the company’s international business strategy.
Prior to joining the US-based digital connectivity solutions provider, Meyer’s company A/V Consulting International (AVCI) worked in partnership with Global A/V Network to manage Atlona’s international sales. ‘I have worked with Atlona’s knowledgeable sales and technical staff for years and always felt like part of the team,’ Meyer says. ‘I look forward to driving the company’s international strategy and continuing development of the partner network necessary for supporting Atlona’s growing demand.’
Based in Milan, Meyer has more than 18 years’ experience managing business development, sales and marketing for leading A/V and IT companies. After starting his career with Kensington in Silicon Valley, he was expatriated to UK as the company’s first EMEA product marketing manager. Here he helped build Kensington and its subsidiary gaming line, Gravis, into tier-one international consumer electronics brands. In addition, Meyer helped lead worldwide business development for Liquid Audio, Runco International, InFocus, and Belkin.
Meyer’s experience and extensive network of contacts in more than 50 countries led him to start AVCI, which assisted residential and commercial brands with establishing an export footprint. In addition to Atlona, AVCI has consulted for Datasat Digital Entertainment, DVDO, Fortress Seating, On Controls, MSR Acoustics and Sherbourn.
‘Having worked so closely with Jeff before, he was the obvious choice for this significant role in Atlona’s continued growth in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions,’ says Atolna President and CEO, Ilya Khayn. ‘His track record for producing great results is something Atlona has experienced first-hand, and we look forward to working side-by-side with him in the future.’
