Patrick Almond has been named Assistant General Manager for Carlsbro and Studiomaster.
The announcement accompanies the relocation of both brands to a new HQ, providing warehousing and distribution from Southern England.
Almond has been with Studiomaster since 1986 and has most recently held the position of Marketing Manager for Carlsbro, Studiomaster and Cadac, following their acquisition by the Soundking Group. He now takes a lead operational role for Carlsbro and Studiomaster, across the MI and professional audio market sectors.
‘All of these changes are in line with the strategic business plan, put in place at the end of last year [2012], when International Business Development, Sales & Marketing Director Paul Brewis joined the company – to take back control of the home market and drive expansion of brand operations worldwide,’ he says. ‘I am now able to focus entirely on Studiomaster and Carlsbro, and take a fully hands-on role in all aspects of driving the brands forward. In the immediate term, our objectives are to successfully manage the move into our new HQ and the roll-out of our new distribution operation – on a far bigger scale than ever before – as well as our imminent launch into the CE market with the new Hurtz headphone line.’
Almond’s appointment to his new position coincides with the appointment of James Godbehear and Richard ‘Fez’ Ferriday as Marketing Manager and Brand Development Manager, respectively. ‘Handing over to the new Cadac marketing team at this point was necessary, to continue building on the terrific success we have achieved in rebuilding the marque in the last three years,’ he says. ‘James and Richard will be hugely influential in the driving the future growth of the company.’
The new 7,000-sq-ft Milton Keynes HQ incorporates sales, marketing, administrative, service, warehousing and distribution facilities for Carlsbro and Studiomaster, including an expanding R&D department.
