CUK Audio has named Rich Soper as its Brand Manager for Live Sound, with responsibility for sales and support of Cadac, Clair Bros, Cordial, dBTechnologies, Outline, Pivitec and Powersoft.
Soper joins CUK Audio from Yamaha Commercial Audio where he held the position of regional manager and specialised in digital consoles, DSP and loudspeaker systems. He has a background as a front of house engineer on tours, cruise liners and live events, and has also worked for dbTechnologies UK and Amber Sound.
‘The appointment of Rich is a key element in the substantial commitment and investment we are making in terms of both sales and support in the live sector, and the direction the brand portfolio will take moving forward,’ says CUK Audio MD, Stuart Thomson. ‘We have established a great portfolio of brands and believe Rich is the person with the right connections, knowledge and approach to take this to the next level and establish ourselves as a major player in this sector.’
‘CUK Audio has predominantly been integration focused, and now it’s time to fully commit to other sectors without detracting from our core business,’ he adds. ‘With the recent changes to the brand portfolio and the addition of Rich, it places us in a strong position to contribute to this sector in a positive way.
‘Rich shares our ethos of providing the best customer support and his wealth of experience, enthusiasm and attitude make him a good fit with our team. I’m confident he’ll do a great job for CUK Audio and our customers.’
‘The outstanding portfolio of brands that Stuart has combined gives me an unequalled opportunity to substantially grow our business and establish CUK Audio as a leader in the live sound sector,’ Soper says.
