inMusic Inc has appointed Jeremy Lumsden as International Channel Manager for global markets to support and expand the business with Akai Professional’s and M-Audio’s channel distribution partners in critical markets worldwide.
Relying on a sales/distribution executive with a thorough understanding of the international music technology equipment marketplace, Lumsden is inMusic’s winning candidate for the post.
Formerly Sales & Marketing Director of Focusrite Novation Inc, Lumsden managed the analysis and translation of sales and marketing data to define the territory marketing strategies and tactics, improving the company’s financial performance. Previously, at sE Electronics/Sonic Distribution, he exceeded distribution targets for the company’s brands, while driving them to be the UK’s leading condenser mic brand by volume of sales in 2011/12.
‘The key to resounding marketplace success in a hotly-competitive business is to have precisely the right people in precisely the right positions,’ says InMusic Executive VP of International Operations, Richard Seymour. ‘We are extremely confident that Jeremy Lumsden is the right person for us, and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have the benefit of his professionalism and experience.’
‘Like many thousands of musicians, I am a fan of the expressive capability and workflow of Akai products and I have been using their MPCs for 20 years. As for M-Audio, it has an unparalleled history of delivering premium, market-leading products at price points that help democratise creativity. I am very much looking forward to supporting our channel,’ Lumsden says.
