VSM Control Systems are able to manage communications between broadcast devices – routers, mixers, converters and other third party devices – under a sinlge operational layer. This promises substantial benefits in production operation, allowing multiple actions to be replaced by a single operation. A VSM control system can provide multi-action short cuts, snapshot management or switching. It also provides status information from any connected device.
Customers, users and other interested parties were presented with three days of training, starting with an introduction for beginners and finishing with advanced instruction. The sessional also included a presentatation from the inventor of VSM, Michael Jones.
‘The feedback from attandance was positive across the board, triggering an even more intense approach for the next training session due to vast amount of material to cover,’ says PAT MD Patrick Salloch. Held in the Function Centre at Hornsby RSL, some customers described it as a ‘truly eye-opening event’.
‘The training was very informative, helped us better understand the product, and opened our eyes to many extra possibilities for the VSM system beyond just router control. To have the developer present and be able to ask him detailed questions was fantastic,’ said Andrew Meachen from Southern Cross Media.
