Provincial People’s Congress takes DIS digital conference system

The Provincial People’s Congress in the city of Changsha (Hunan Province) has installed a DIS digital conference system from the DCS6000 range. DIS China distributor Wincomn Technology performed the installation and the Hunan People’s Congress joins a growing list of Chinese Government bodies using DIS equipment.

Provincial People’s CongressThe installation comprises two CU6011central units – one operating as back-up. As a safety requirement and to ensure redundancy, a SZ6104switcher is connected to the two central units, enabling automatic change-over in the event of failure. For conference operation, the FC 6021 chairman unit and 149 FD6021 delegate flush-mount units with 500mm-long GM6524gooseneck XLR microphones were chosen.

To guard against any breakage in the Cat5e daisychain, JB6002 junction boxes have also been installed.

Besides running the entire system in Chinese language, various DIS software applications – including the SW6008 DIS user application, SW6018 mimic display, SW6010 microphone control and SW6050 Multilanguage screens –enable the system to set preferred language to user profile. In addition, the installation uses AMX control and external projection applications.
