As pro audio businesses in their various guises begin to consider how to proceed with plans for partial and staggered re-openings, the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing has spoken with numerous recording studio owners, engineers and other industry professionals around the US.
Based on suggested protocols that they have proposed, the P&E Wing compiled a list of potential safety measures and considerations for recording studios as the process of reopening begins. The document – titled Considerations for Recording Studios as they Reopen – is offered a resource, and is not intended to supersede local guidelines, but instead to complement them with specifics, as informed by numerous studio owners, engineers and others who are striving to keep the music community safe while getting back to work.
The Producers & Engineers Wing has been a resource for the recording community for nearly 20 years and states that it will continue its work long after this current Covid-19 crisis has passed.
