Merging takes SoundID outside the boxMerging Technologies has announced that its Merging+Anubis interfacing is the first hardware to enable Sonarworks SoundID Reference correction to be handled outside of a host computer platform.

With the new configuration, it is no longer necessary to run the SoundID Reference plug-in or software on the DAW – both SoundID loudspeaker and headphones correction are now handled by Anubis.

SoundID Reference (the next-generation version of formerly known Reference 4 software) is a loudspeaker and headphone calibration software from Sonarworks, able to remove unwanted coloration and deliver accurate studio reference sound.
