A new casual dining option called Museo Jungle has just opened its doors at the former location of the Café Museo del Edifico Minero in the city of Ponferrada, Spain. As its name suggests, the restaurant is jungle themed, and is equipped with a full DAS Audio sound system fit-out.
The restaurant has dining space on the ground floor and additional spaces on its upper floor, plus a large glassed-in terrace. The entire venue is adorned with representations of jungle animals, making it a visually spectacular choice for friends or familiy gatherings with children – and the park next door is a further bonus.
As one of the most popular venues in the capital of the Bierzo region, Museo Jungle has installed a professional sound system, drawing from the Quantum, Ceiling, IA and Integral Series from the DAS Audio catalogue. The restaurant owner called in Tecson Sonido E Iluminación, a leader in the sound sector in Ponferrada and a regular user of DAS systems for the past two decades, to head the installation.
After evaluating the venue’s different needs, Tecson owner Marcos Rodríguez, recommended the use of DAS Quantum and Ceiling systems to soundproof the different areas of the restaurant, as well as integrated amplifiers and a DSP processor to supply and manage the corresponding acoustic signal.
A total of eight DAS Q-23-T systems and two Q-10 subwoofers have been installed, along with four 8-inch CL-8T ceiling loudspeakers. DAS Integral-A404, A1004 and WA 4 amplifiers were also used, and the entire system relies on a DAS DSP-223 digital signal processor, which adequately manages the acoustic signal for all the elements of the system.
The installation of a top-of-the-line DAS Audio sound system is a fitting addition to this refined yet unique restaurant. Boasting high-end décor and the equipment to match, the venue is set to become an icon in the Ponferrada (León) restaurant sector.
