The result of a two-year renovation project, Group Technologies has opened a new, permanent Training & Demonstration facility – the largest dedicated professional audio facility in Australia.
Each room has been purpose-built with a specific audio discipline in mind and covers the breadth of pro audio solutions, including live, commercial and install, studio and broadcast, with products set up in practical, working environments.
Following a well-received Grand Opening event in February, these rooms are now open and ready for bookings. The facility aims to cater for professionals from any sector of the audio market. Spaces include a showroom, mix zone, commercial room, studio and live space.
Whether it be consoles, in ears, or DSP processors, the showroom space is purpose-built for training on DiGiCo, Klang and NST Audio hardware. These areas also feature fully functional networked audio rooms to demonstrate the capabilities of these systems.
The evolution of a ‘classic’ listening space, the commercial room has been transformed into a multipurpose demonstration area with a focus on architectural, venue and installation audio. Featured technologies here include offerings from Nexo ID and P+, as well as the Quest MX Series.
A dedicated studio space aims to replicate the work environment familiar to many audiophiles and engineering professionals. With the ability to fine-tune not only the room acoustics but the lighting and monitoring set-up, this space features Austrian Audio, PSI Audio, DiGiCo and other brands.
The largest space offers a comprehensive display of RCF powered loudspeakers, and also features Nexo and RCF line arrays, Quest live cabinets, DiGiCo consoles, and an integrated 4REA4 system. ‘Unlike any other permanent demonstration room in Australia, our live sound space is perfect for test driving a plethora of live sound and large touring system options,’ the company asserts.
