Leading Australian location recording company Remote Recorders has purchased a DiGiCo SD8 console with an SD-Rack.
Specialising in radio, television, major music festivals and concerts, the Sydney-based company has covered events and artists including Big Day Out (for Channel V), Slash for Abbey Road Live and DVD recordings for Muse, NERD and Kanye West. ‘We have the SD8 running with two Madi recorders and has proven itself to be a perfect solution for our live-to-air and live tracking projects,’ says Remote Director, James Cadsky. Building up a broadcast mix on the SD8 is very quick and easy.’
‘Ease of use since was key for us as the console is frequently used to do live mixes of festivals such as Big Day Out,’ he adds. ‘Sometimes we hire a DiGi-Rack when we require more I/O. It’s about sound qualit y, sound quality, sound quality – and roadworthiness.’
