KMR Audio has launched KMR | Hire, a new hire service aimed at users who require high-end boutique equipment for their projects on a short term basis but don’t wish to make a permanent purchase.
The service covers a wide range of quality studio equipment including microphones; outboard; digital converters and interfaces; mixing consoles; summing mixers and control surfaces; and synthesisers.
‘From listening to our customers, we understand that a lot of professional users occasionally need specific equipment for use in their projects, but cannot justify making a purchase if it’s only going to get limited use,’ KMR Sales Director Li Daguerre explains. ‘For example, we offer a Neve BCM10/2 sidecar which is a great way to multitrack through multiple 1073 channels. At around £50k to buy, that’s a fair chunk of change to factor into your budget. If you can get all the tracking done in a week it makes a lot more sense to hire.
‘We appreciate there are already well-established hire companies with larger inventories than KMR, so we're focussing on the more boutique, hard-to-find items you may not be able to easily source elsewhere.’
Hire is charged per-day or per-week (at a competitive three-day rate). Equipment is available same-day within the London M25 area, or next-day for the rest of the UK.
