Following the acquisition of AuviTran in 2023, AoIP solutions company Digigram has acquired Grenoble-based OROS, a specialist in noise and vibration testing systems.
This acquisition expands the company’s headcount to approximately 60 employees, with headquarters in Montbonnot and subsidiaries in Singapore, the US and China. OROS will retain its brands and identity. OROS management will increase its human and financial resources to support its development.
‘Digigram’s contribution is a valuable leverage to support both the technical and commercial development of OROS, as engaged in 2023 with the release of O4,’ says OROS Product Manager, Nicolas Denisot.
The Digigram group has gained expertise in the critical audio, broadcast and live markets, with solutions serving the acquisition, transport and interconnection of Audio-over-IP (AoIP). OROS has developed its expertise with solutions for the energy, maritime, aeronautics, automotive, production and automation markets.
While the two companies already operate in different segments of the critical communications market, with customers in the civil and military aerospace (Airbus, GE Aircraft Engines, CAE) and maritime (US Naval Academy) sectors, their joint endeavours are expected to increase their presence in the industrial, defence, security and transport markets.
Both founded in 1985 in the Grenoble tech environment, OROS and Digigram share common ground – both SMEs have developed their expertise with a Made in France flair for hardware and software solutions. With a long tradition of growth based on export, both have relied on distribution networks and subsidiaries based abroad.
‘Our fundamentals are very close, whether in terms of markets, strategic stance or human values, which is crucial to achieve a swift and seamless convergence,’ says Digigram group President, Jérémie Weber. ‘On many topics, OROS and Digigram speak the same language, always highlighting our French rooted expertise, a certain taste for innovation, and solutions applauded by our most demanding customers for their quality and reliability in critical environments. Together, OROS and Digigram will combine signal transport know-how with signal analysis expertise. This extensive approach opens up a whole world of possibilities to meet new needs and address increasingly comprehensive use cases.’
