Slate Digital has made its Virtu online mastering platform available for public access.
Previously only available to All Access Pass members, the Virtu online mastering service offers curated Style profiles, a user-friendly interface and a newly added Reference Track feature to allow users of all experience levels to achieve a professional, polished sound for their mixes.
Virtu’s step-by-step workflow involves uploading a mix (WAV files only), selecting the style profile that best fits the track, and picking aloudness target. Users also have the option to adjust more advanced controls, including frequency balance, compression and stereo width of the master. A reference track can also be uploaded for Virtu to use to further shape the EQ curve and loudness of a track.
Virtu is available both for All Access Pass and Complete Access subscription holders as well as for public use. Subscribers get three free mastering credits per month, with additional credits available for purchase at US$2.99 each. Public access users receive two free mastering credits in their account at sign up, with additional masters available for purchase at US$4.99 each.
