Located in southern Sweden, the Jönköping Konsert & Kongress centre has reopened after renovation and rebranding last year with an L-Acoustics L Series concert sound system marking ‘a significant milestone’ in its ongoing transformation.

‘Our goal is to continuously foster innovation, creativity, and inspiration,’ says Head of Concert Operations, Camilla Fritz. ‘With our new L Series professional sound system, we can offer a first-class audio experience for all visitors, whether they are attending a conference or enjoying a concert.’

Hammarskjöld Hall Formerly Elmia Konsert & Kongress, the venue’s renovation was a collaboration between JKPG Fast, which owns the property, and Destination Jönköping which manages the space. The result of the works is aimed at enhancing the experience for both business and cultural events.

Those events encompass congresses and corporate meetings as well as stand-up comedy, musicals and concerts. The venue’s centrepiece, the 1,000-seat Hammarskjöld Hall frequently sells out.

Installed by L-Acoustics Certified Provider Integrator JLE Audio, the sound system comprises LR hangs of one L-Acoustics L2 long-throw loudspeaker over an L2D. Four KS28 subwoofers are flown centrally, with an additional four KS28 groundstacked for low-end extension. Eight X8 coaxial loudspeakers provide front fill with two more for under balcony fill. Amplified controllers driving the system include four LA7.16i for the L Series, two LA12X for the KS28, one LA4X for front-fills and one LA2Xi for under balcony fill. The whole system is served by a P1 processor over a Milan-AVB network.

‘We are thrilled that Jönköping Konsert & Kongress has invested in such an advanced sound system,’ says at JLE Audio CEO, Johannes Jonsson. ‘The L Series offers many unique features and delivers incredible resolution. We believe this installation sets a new standard for sound quality in the region.’

Jönköping Konsert & Kongress boasts the first L Series installation in Sweden and the Nordic region, a sound system that meets the high standards expected by artists, technicians and audiences. ‘This upgrade not only enhances the quality of our events, but also strengthens our reputation as a leading cultural and corporate event venue,’ Fritz says.
