Among Poland’s largest festivals, the 2024 Łódź Summer Festival attracted an estimated 500,000 attendees to enjoy performances by both international and local stars, including Placebo, Milky Chance, Błażej Król, Smolasty, White 2115, Kukon, Krzysztof Zalewski, PRO8L3M, Beata and, and Röyksopp. To meet the demands of this large and challenging line-up, leading Polish rental company Gondek Sound provided the audio infrastructure, which included a 15 Outline GTO line-source enclosures and two GTO-DF (down fill) modules per side.
The set-up also included three delay towers: the first was equipped with nine GTO enclosures per side, while the second and third each housed twelve GTO C-12 modules. Additionally, eight Superfly systems were used for the front fill, and eight Eidos 265 loudspeakers for side fill. DBS 18-2 enclosures provided sub-bass reinforcement.
The sound system was powered by Outline’s GTA-Series amplifiers, with Newton FPGA-based processing ensuring precise and reliable control over the complex audio set-up.
For thisscale of production, Gondek Sound supplemented its inventory by renting further Outline gear from Gigant Sound Letus, Europe’s largest GTO holder, through a strategic collaboration within Outline’s rental network.
Gondek Sound’s team of audio technicians included System Engineer Marek Frankiewicz, monitor engineers Kamil Kęska and Szymon Grodzki, RF Technician Bartłomiej Paliński, and audio technicians Leszek Jakubowski, Igor Grześkowiak, and Bartek Rusowicz.
‘The Outline GTO established a new benchmark for sound quality and consistency at the Łódź Summer Festival,’ says Gondek Sound owner, Zbigniew Gondek. ‘With its DPRWG waveguide and V-Power technology, the system provided exceptionally low distortion across all sound levels, delivering a natural sound that reached every corner of the festival grounds. This level of performance makes Outline’s line arrays particularly well-suited to large-scale outdoor events. We’re proud to have contributed to such a major live production, featuring both international and local music stars, where the audio quality was central to its success.’
