UK-based audio technology innovator Audioscenic has announced Amphi Hi-D (High-dimensional Sound) spatial audio technology.

Audioscenic Amphi Hi-D (High-dimensional Sound)Hi-D is a position-adaptive technology, powered by ML-driven listener-position sensing, that delivers consistent 3D audio regardless of listener movement. Amphi Hi-D versatility allows for scalable applications, ranging from three-speaker ultrathin notebooks to six-channel gaming displays. The technology promises an enhanced user experience with uniform frequency response, wider cancellation spectrum, increased loudness and reduced reflections.

Amphi Hi-D enables product makers to design devices that deliver premium spatial audio without compromising user mobility or requiring complex room set-ups. Its adaptability allows integration into various form factors, including soundbars, laptops and monitors. Audioscenic has previously partnered with Razr, Acer, MSI, Cirrus Logic, and Zylux, and aims to expand its network of product makers and ecosystem collaborators.

‘As consumer expectations for immersive experiences grow, Amphi Hi-D offers a distinctive user experience that will set products apart in the crowded consumer electronics market,’ says Audioscenic CTO and co-founder, Marcos Simon. ‘People love the enveloping experience of immersive sound, and Hi-D multichannel deepens and heightens that experience to the next level.’

While gaming is an obvious application for Amphi Hi-D, its versatility opens doors to diverse product categories. In home entertainment, Hi-D enables soundbars to deliver cinematic experiences without complex speaker arrangements, transforming living rooms into immersive audio environments. For personal computing, Hi-D upgrades conference calling with distinct voice positioning and enhanced voice clarity, creating a more natural and engaging virtual meeting space. Audioscenic believes that Amphi Hi-D is ‘positioned to play a crucial role in creating more immersive and realistic audio environments across various industries and applications’.
