K-Player is a new a digital media platform from Krean broadcaster KBS, enabling programmes to be viewed on smartphones, PCs, tablet PCs and otherinternet-enabled devices.

K-Player’s use of the N-Screen service enables broadcast content to be shared on multiple devices, combining TV and internet interactivity.

Installed on a suitable device, K-Player is able to deliver ffeds from tenKBS TV and radio channels. With a video-on-demand service (VOD) in the pipeline for December launch, viewers will also be able to watch programmes after they have aired.

With the final phase of the K-Player programme scheduled for 2012, programming will be extended to include content from other Korean broadcasters, as well as worldwide content providers.
