‘When we started Professional Audio Technology in April, I knew that we needed an experienced broadcast and professional audio technologist to be able to provide our customers with system design, pre- and post-sales support, and run the engineering department. Tony Fitzsimmons brought all of these skills and more to the table, and it was clear that a partnership would benefit the company immensely.’
The partnership being described by Professional Audio Technology (PAT) MD Patrick Salloch sees the former Asia Pacific MD of Klotz Digital, and former Lawo representative and technical integration specialist, joining forces in a previously unlikely alliance.
‘Who would have thought,’ laughs Technical Director Fitzsimmons. ‘It takes a while for the customers to get used to the two of us in the same room at the same time, but after an initial “we never thought we would see this’” moment, everyone quickly recognises that our new partnership is something our customers will benefit from.’
Professional Audio Technology has been busy lining up distribution agreements, including those with Optocore, InfoMedia and Danish Interpretation systems.
As Asia’s market leader in play-out software, codecs, flash recorders and audio switches, as well as audio editing software, InfoMedia is now being supported in the Australian and New Zealand broadcast and professional audio market by PAT. ‘We are honoured to have been chosen by InfoMedia as their distributor for the Australian and New Zealand market. Such a prestigious and proven company as InfoMedia has a lot to offer our market, and their solid technology will be a welcome alternative at a very competitive price.’
Similarly, DIS will now be distributed in Australia and New Zealand by PAT following a meeting between DIS Asia-Pacific Sales Manager Kim Juergensen and Salloch Singapore. ‘We have big plans for the conferencing technology of this esteemed company, and are sure that this will be a long and prosperous partnership for many years to come,’ says Fitzsimmons.
PAT will be out in force at Sydney’s Integrate show in August.
