Midas and Klark Teknik Middle East distributor Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK) has recently upgraded the Pro6 console owned by Dubai-based rental company Sound & Stage to a Pro9.
The upgrade provides the desk with an additional 24 inputs – giving it a total of 80 – as well as eight aux returns for a total 88 inputs and 35 mix buses. (See Midas Pro9 here)
The company has also added the DL431 microphone splitters and the DN9696 High Resolution Audio Recorder to its system, providing broadcast-quality recording capabilities. ‘The upgrade to a Pro9 from a Pro6, showcases the scalability of Midas digital consoles making them an investment protected for the long-term, as there is room to achieve more without having to replace the product,’ says Chicco Hiranandani, Business Development Manager at NMK.
‘Sound & Stage has made the natural progression to re-investing in its Midas digital system by increasing the I/O and having the recording capability for the high-end shows they produce. tThe best part is that they have invested in the DL431s, which are an amazing combination of microphone splitters and a stage box rolled into one. Each DL431 provides 24 inputs with two digital outputs for every input that have independent gain control and three analogue outputs for every input, of which one is transformer isolated.’
