Professional Audio Technology (PAT) has supplied, programmed and commissioned a VSM control system to Australia’s Global Television its the newly equipped HD6 OB truck. The commission follows systems supplied by PAT for the company's HD4 truck in 2011.

The VSM control system – comprising a VSM server and a redundant server, configured to provide all of the control requirements – will provide control for the truck’s audio, vision and communication systems. The installation includes Multi-Bus Panels with 17 RGB coloured LCD buttons, Multi-Bus Panels with 34 LCD buttons and some panels with 33 LCD buttons with incremental encoders, Comm Servers and GPIO panels.

‘Global Television has continued its proven integration of VSM in the HD6 trailer,’ says Global Technical Service Manager, Milan Milenkovic. ‘We find the flexibility of the VSM system allows us to easily configure and control the majority of equipment within our HD OB units. As a result, we are able to quickly and reliably turn our trucks around between projects. PAT has provided, yet again, a very professional service and has been a pleasure to deal with.’

Professional Audio Technology provided programming and commissioning services and also training for the VSM system in co-operation with LSB International from Germany.
