Anton/Bauer has named Amtec its authorised service centre in Mexico.
A provider of batteries, chargers, lighting and other mobile power systems for the professional broadcast, video and film industries, Anton/Bauer already has an established relationship with Amtec as a key distributor for Latin America.
Amtec was founded in 1991 to sell, install and service professional television equipment for the production and postproduction markets at the broadcast and industrial level. Supporting local broadcasters such as TV Azteca and Televisa, Amtec aims to offer ‘the fastest and most efficient service without compromising quality’.
‘Anton/Bauer offers our customers the most compatible camera batteries and chargers,’ says Octavio Rios, Amtec site director for production equipment. ‘Whether they are using a camera from Panasonic, Sony, Ikegami or JVC – Anton/Bauer has solutions to fit the cameras they are currently using or plan to use in the future.’
In addition to selling Anton/Bauer power solutions, Amtec will offer local customers technical expertise necessary to help troubleshoot and keep gear updated without support from outside the country.
‘As the authorised support team here in Mexico, customers are going to feel more confident when selecting Anton/Bauer products – and they will understand the value beyond the cost of the batteries,’ says Anton/Bauer Product Specialist, Jose Flores.. ‘No other major battery manufacturer has that type of service in Mexico, so we are pleased to say that we can offer the necessary support to our customers. Sometimes a solution can be as simple as updating a charger’s software, so the customer doesn’t have to buy all new chargers – together with Anton/Bauer, we can help protect our customers’ investments.
‘Working regularly with local videographers, directors of photography, production companies and other professionals, this new alliance gives both companies a stronger position in industry,’ he adds. ‘This partnership is based on communication and now we have a partner to share trends and also what’s going on in both regions. We look forward to things to come in the future and couldn’t be more pleased than to provide local support in Mexico.’
