Seven major Japanese broadcasters and two Government ministries are to gather on the eve of the forthcoming MIPCOM event in France to discuss new TV formats.
The new networking event is designed for the international TV formats community and will be held on the eve of MIPCOM to give formats executives an early start to finding the next hit format for their market.
Broadcasters NHK, Nippon NTV, TV Asahi, TBS, TV Tokyo, Fuji TV and ABC with be joined by the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs & Communications and The Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry in presenting the latest Japanese TV formats to major TV stations and production companies.
Japanese broadcasters have been attending MIPCOM individually since the 1980s, but this Gala Dinner represents their first united presentation to the world’s broadcasters.
