Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK) has supplied Dubai-based production company Eclipse with OpticalCon fibre-optic reels for its video department’s use in corporate events and concerts across the UAE
Used for connectivity to LED walls, Eclipse can now send video signals over long distances using a portable and rugged medium for their various. The OpticalCon fibre reels are available in different lengths with varying levels of channels and protection. Eclipse’s order included ten fibre-optic couplers and 100m of X-Treme multimode fibre on ten drums terminated with Neutrik connectors, which are dust and water resistant ( IP65 rated). These can be used as separate runs or coupled together to get a 1km run. The X-Treme cable offers cut-proof and rodent resistant double jacket glass yarn armored cable construction providing the best solution for rental companies that are constantly in and out of venues.
‘The feedback from Eclipse has been extremely positive,’ says Neutrik Sales Specialist, Pavel Aheuni. ‘Whether the application is audio, lighting or video – transporting signal over fibre is becoming more and more possible in the live market due to Neutrik’s OpticalCon range which can both protect and provide consistent results.’
