Dubai-based Production Technology (Protec) has taken delivery of four Roland V-800HD HD Vision Mixers from local agent, NMK.
Protec is a rental and production company that works on various high-profile events across the Gulf region. The company purchased the Roland mixers after a demonstration by NMK’s Roland Product Specialist specialist, Moswain Antao.
The V-800HD Live Video Switcher is aimed at live events and installations that may require to connect any type of source – digital or analogue, computer or video format. As with the Roland V-1600HD switcher, the V-800HD is a true multi-format video mixer that will automatically match input sources to the output resolution. Every input has a broadcast-quality scaler, which can individually scale, stretch, crop and zoom each source as required to fit any output resolution chosen.
The V-800HD is HDCP compatible and also features a built-in multi-viewer output that provides a convenient monitoring solution when connected to an HDMI monitor.
‘The V-800HD accepts high-end 3G/SD/HD-SDI DVI-A/DVI-D/HDMI, RGB, component, and composite formats video sources, making it the ideal choice for any live video production,’ says Antao. ‘The mixer also features 4:4:4/10-bit processing on outputs up to 1080/60p resolution. Operating two V-800HD units in tandem makes it possible to perform switching for 3D video split into left and right video signals, making it an all-in-one, future-proof mixing solution which is Multi-format and most importantly easy to use.’
