Plasa is to hold its 2013 European AGM at195 Piccadilly, the home of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, on 30 May. Expecting a turnout of around 200 people, Plasa will review its achievements over the past 12 months and outline aims for future development.
‘The AGM is of great significance to the Association and the ideal occasion for every member to ensure that his or her voice is heard’ says Plasa CEO Matthew Griffiths. ‘It is this feedback that enables Plasa to react positively to the changes and challenges that members face in order to act effectively on their behalf.
Among 2012’s developments, the Plasa Show relocated to Excel London, and invested in new software to provide members with new self-service features and assist participation in its activities. Plasa has also worked to building relationships with other key organisations for the benefit of members worldwide.
The Plasa Members’ Lunch following the AGM will once again be held in the David Lean Room following pre-lunch drinks with special guests. This year’s after-lunch speaker is freelance broadcaster and writer, John Sergeant.
‘The 2013 AGM will be the launch pad for Plasa’s Global Strategic Plan. This is the culmination of months of constructive work involving members, staff, Regional Boards and Governing Body,’ says Griffiths. ‘We are actively encouraging as many members as possible to come along to what promises to be an informative day.’
