One of the larges TV shopping channels operating in Taiwan, MoMo TV has recently relocated to a new production building and revised its technical installation. Owned by parent company Taiwan Mobile, the channel’s new broadcast facilities are equipped with three DiGiCo consoles.
Broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week, MoMo TV uses three new studios in the Neihu Hi-tech Industry Park facility in Taipei. Each studio features a DiGiCo SD8, installed as part of a comprehensive technical upgrade and replacing the channel’s previous analogue consoles.
The design of the new studios – as well as the supply, installation and commissioning of the new equipment – was handled by DiGiCo distributor Rightway Audio Consultants and local system integrator Acesonic Technology Co.
‘The SD8s deliver a much more efficient and powerful audio system than MoMo TV had previously,’ says Rightway’s Alan Wong. ‘They offer plenty of digital I/O options, greatly improved sonic quality and are very easy to use. Their compact footprint is also ideal for broadcast studios, while the reliability of DiGiCo consoles is essential for 24/7 broadcasting.
‘They are very happy with the choice of the SD8.’
