DiGiCo has named Scandec Systemer AS as its exclusive distributor for Norway.
Now a leading audio and A/V supplier, Scandec Systemer was established in 1984 by Knut Børke and Håkon Rønning, serving both the public and private sectors. Its portfolio includes a wide variety of entertainment venues, recording and broadcast studios, schools, sports arenas and stadia, background music, PA/VA installations and A/V and interactive education systems.
‘DiGiCo is a great complement to our existing product mix,’ says Sales Director, Håkon Rønning. ‘DiGiCo consoles have great quality and functionality, and we will see to it that Norwegian sound engineers will be supported well. Norwegian DiGiCo users are very happy with their investments, and we look forward to including many more from our Scandec user network.
‘We are very pleased to get the opportunity to work with this major digital console brand here in Norway,’ he adds. ‘Scandec has invested in a large number of DiGiCo desks so that the team can educate the sound engineers of today, as well as the engineers of tomorrow.’
The first order Scandec received was for a fully-equipped SD7 system with twin engines and HMA optics, an SD10 and an SD8-24 all of which were for a live indoor venue for TV channel TV Visjon Norge, in Drammen. The console will be available to the general Scandinavian rental market.
‘We knew they were the right choice and the fact that they have already made sales to such prestigious end-users confirms that,’ says DiGiCo’s Tim Shaxson.
