HK Audio has announced a series of new loudspeaker systems for installation applications in collaboration with Lab.gruppen. The collaboration makes a variety of HK Audio system solutions possible that set new standards in terms of sound quality, ease of use, features, energy efficiency and value for money.
Passive (unamplified) HK Audio loudspeaker lines – such as Elements, Linear 5, ConTour, ConTour Array, Cadis, Vortis and the IL Series – can now be operated using Lab.gruppen’s new IPD Series amplifiers: ‘When developing system solutions that would meet the high standards of the HK Audio passive installation ranges, we tried and tested many amplifiers on the market,’ says Lars Langholz, Product Manager at HK Audio. ‘Nothing at that price point came close to the feature set and sonic quality of Lab.gruppen’s IPD Series.’
The IPD platform features a latest-generation DSP engine equipped with up to a total of 40 real-time, multi-slope parametric EQs along with adjustable gain, input and output delay, and both high- and low-pass filters adjustable to any frequency. Preset Sheets for operation with the IPD Series amplifiers and these products are now available.
The new system solutions are well suited to venues where acoustic and economic efficiency are equally important, including the likes of churches, theatres, conference centres, sports halls, lounges, bars and school buildings, as well as other, varied, locations.
