In one of its most ambitious projects to date, PT Gracia Auvindo has used multiple Symetrix SymNet DSP units at the Marriott’s Stones Hotel in the southern Balinese district of Kuta.

‘First of all, Symetrix DSPs are easy to use and understand,’ says PT Gracia Auvindo Technical Manager, Hendra Halim. ‘Second, they offer very good quality at excellent price points. The result is that they naturally lend themselves to a wide variety of project types.’

Both distributor and systems integrator, PT Gracia Auvindo has regarded Symetrix processing technology as a core part of its technical arsenal since it first started working with the brand in 2008. It was, therefore, a ‘very quick decision’ to USE Symetrix at the Stones hotel complex.

The company was asked to provide high-quality audio for speech and background music in three primary spaces – the restaurant/pool area, convention centre and meeting rooms. In each case, pairing Symetrix processors with Coda Audio loudspeakers and Camco amplifiers provided a powerful yet discreet and cost-efficient system.

In the restaurant/pool area, a single Solus 8 device provides ll necessary DSP for the restaurant, deli, outdoor deck and swimming pool. The Solus 8 – used in conjunction with a single ARC-2e wall panel – guarantees ease of (re)configuration for a set-up that includes Coda Audio PW12 speakers, Camco Q-Power amplifiers and a Midas Venice F16 console.

In the convention centre, three Jupiter app-based DSPs provide DSP for a trio of separate spaces. A Jupiter is also part of a design that allows the venue operators to operate the convention rooms separately or combine them into one large space – in which case a further Solus for room combining.

Five Jupiter DSPs have also been incorporated into the convention centre design, with audio reinforcement again courtesy of a Coda Audio and Camco inventory that includes no fewer than 50 Coda D5 passive speakers.

Additionally, six individual meeting rooms are handled with a Jupiter 8 in each space, while another Solus 8 serves as the room combining system. PT Gracia Auvindo has also furnished the venue with ARC-2e wall panels for readily accessible control.
